Configurations

Groundhawk as a solution is configurable and extensible in many different ways to fulfill the needs by contractors and network owners.

The Organization Manager / admin role has access to modify the organization's configuration and grid company-specific features.

Cable types define which cables are visible to the worksite. For example, low-voltage cable, microduct, etc.

Protection types define possible protections such as protective conduit, gutter, concreting, etc.

Point types define the points to be mapped such as junction boxes, joints, posts, etc.

Attributes define additional properties for the cable route such as excavation conditions/surface.

Settings define default file formats, coordinate systems, etc.

Feel free to contact support and we will work together to define a configuration that works for you.

Cable and Trench Configurations
The routes contain information about cables and protections. The cable definitions can be modified as needed in the network company-specific configurations so that the relevant cables and protections are visible for that network company when mapping.

In addition, the cable route can have additional properties, such as surface: asphalt, soft soil, etc.

The properties of the cable route can be used mainly for statistics and billing.

Example of cable route data:

Route excavation property: Asphalt
Cable 1: PJ cable, grooved
Cable 2: KJ Cable, piped

The properties of the cable route may change many times during the route.
Feature Points

When mapping, in addition to routes, you want to map points such as cabinets, customer points, connections, probe balls, etc. Groundhawk has a default list of points that can be edited and expanded according to your needs. Contact us and we will go through the configurations per network company together.

Task Features

Task features are points that have a defined task list attached to them that can be followed up, and photos from your phone can be attached when a step is completed. For example, the Electrical Cabinet task feature, where the tasks can be

1) Grounding preparations,

2) Cabinet installed,

3) Cables connected.

Customer points (HP, HC) are also typical task points.

APIs for Integrations

Groundhawk can be integrated with project management systems, web information systems, delivery portals, etc. via APIs. The APIs are modern REST APIs with secure authentication.

Export Formats

Mapping data can usually be downloaded from the Groundhawk portal using the network operator's own codes and format.

In practice, the network operator's format defines:

the codes used for lines and points (network operator specific)
the file format e.g. DXF, Geopackage, PIH, KMZ etc
the coordinate system (e.g. TM35FIN, EPSG: xxxx and elevation system e.g. N2000)

New export formats can be added and descriptions and requests defined by the operator can be sent to support.
